PAP New Year’s Eve Guide

New Year’s Eve Is Upon Us…and man has it been a year.

Political chaos, Sugar Creek closed, and now the Panthers are up for sale….and Diddy wants to buy it……..

So it seems to us here at Piedmont Artist Profiles, that we all need to send this year, in particular, out with a something legit. And we have put the penultimate list of New Years Eve events being put on by local artists.

I’m not exactly sure how to go about this because ALL of these events are worthy of your attendance. So I put them in random order, based on how they were added to the calendar, which is pretty random.

There are links to all of the bands in the description and click on each heading to take you to the Facebook Event page.

So Here is The List:

The Lovely Budz will be headlining the festivities at Crown Station with special guests Sugarshine and Jah Will.

The Lovely Buds, of course, are one of the areas rising reggae fusion bands who come with a great energy and groove that will be sure to have you moving till the ball drops. And they are bringing some amazing talent to join the party with  Sugarshine and Jah Will

If you haven’t been to the new Crown Station, you’ve got to check it out. It is a really well-designed room with a nice long bar and really good acoustics. The wrap around patio provides ample room to mingle and hang out. Be sure to check out their neighbors  Deejai Noodle Bar, who have a great menu of Asian inspired street food.

The boys in Coddle Creek will be hosting a night of grooves and Creek-grass at The Rabbit Hole.

Accompanying Coddle Creek are fellow festival fav’s ESP, The Wormholes, and Little Blue Fish (formerly the Derek Sjoblom Collective) for this night of jams at The Rabbit Hole

This is sure to be one of the trippiest and psychedelic of the choices that night, and being it is The Rabbit Hole, you know the shows gonna be legit.

Lenny Boy Brewing will be brought to life with the unique sounds of Aarodynamics.

Aarodynamics is self-described as “Live Improvised Booty Music”…and I’m not sure I can give a much better description. Fusing samples and synths with live drums and guitars, this blend of originals and sometimes recognizable covers will mesmerize you and leave your jaw on the floor. And all of this at great local brewer Lenny Boy Brewing

Trust me…..you’re gonna want to dance to this.

Doors @ 6:00pm
Music @ 9:00pm

Live jazz at local spirit wizards, Great Wagon Road Distilling Co.

Hosted in the distillery’s tasting room The Broken Spoke, enjoy the fresh sounds of local jazz trio  The Dreamtones while sipping a fresh glass of their Rua in a place that you can actually smell the mash……I’m thinking this is where I’m going to start my night….

Singer/Songwriter duo Courtney Lynn and Quins at Aria Tuscan Grill.

Grab an early bite before heading to your final destination at aria, an authentic old-world Italian food in a modern setting. And while you’re enjoying that last bite of Carbonara, hopefully, preceded by a bowl full of Caramelized Gnocchi, you’ll be bathed in the sounds of Courtney Lynn and Quinn’s wonderful music.

The girls will be performing from 7:30pm-10:30pm.

Speakeasy Into The New Year with Pam Taylor and RAIN at Studio 1212

“Looking for something different to do this NYE?? Something more inspired??? This is not your ordinary NYE shindig. Speakeasy… This is an event to welcome the NY with intention, not resolution. To resolve is to solve or fix. We are not broken. We are moving forward into this new year with a new set of intentions to support our wellbeing and those around us. “Speaking Easy” is easily speaking the intentions of what you want this new year to hold. It’s a New Year for love, compassion, community, wellness, joy, and ease and it’s way better than trying to lose 10 lbs or to get that new job promotion. Speakeasy your desires for what you want your life to look like and allow it to unfold in 2018. Come to create, envision and to support your true desires for the new year.”

Studio 1212 is a multi-use studio.
